Post-Season Cup
The caddie is waiting.
The Post-Season Cup stays quiet until the 16 playoff teams are assigned. Then this page becomes the playoff competition board.
Owners
Two regular-season NHL teams per owner. Post-season teams will be added after the playoff draft.
Rules
Carolina starts with the Cup
The Hurricanes begin the NHL regular season as the Cup holder.
Any loss transfers the Cup
Whenever the current Cup-holding NHL team loses a regular-season game, the Cup transfers to the team that beat it. Regulation, overtime and shootout losses all count.
Final holder wins
The owner whose NHL team holds the Cup at the end of the regular season wins the In-Season Cup.
Post-Season is separate
Each owner has one NHL playoff team. There are no game-by-game Cup transfers. The owner of the Stanley Cup champion wins the Post-Season Cup.
The caddie rule
The owner whose team loses in the Stanley Cup Final provides caddie services to the Post-Season Cup winner.
